David Lynch's surreal psychological thriller returns to the cinema screen fully restored. Defying simple explanation, it has been called both a masterpiece and an enigma. Actress Nikki Grace (Laura Dern) experiences a series of strange encounters with friends and strangers while seeking to book her next role. Landing a role in a film based on a Polish folk-tale, Nikki learns that a prior adaptation was abandoned when both of that film's leads were murdered. Beginning an affair with co-star Devon (Justin Theroux), Nikki starts to have difficulty distinguishing between her real life and the events depicted in the movie.
