Based on the novel by Stephen King and directed by Brian DePalma (Body Double, Blow Out), CARRIE was a box office sensation upon release and was nominated for both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards. DePalma's phantasmagorical imagery made it one of the defining films of the 1970s, and it is now considered one of the greatest horror movies ever made.
