MF26 Devil's Disciple: The Night Stalker

Chad Ferrin delivers his nastiest film since Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! and Someone’s Knocking at the Door with DEVIL'S DISCIPLE: THE NIGHT STALKER, a remorseless, uncompromising account of a serial killer's real-life reign of terror. Los Angeles, 1985. The city is sweltering through another summer as a sadistic killer moves through its streets at night, breaking into homes seemingly at random and leaving behind scenes of unimaginable brutality. His name is Richard Ramirez, soon to be christened “The Night Stalker”, and before his capture he would become one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. Following Ramirez through the streets, bars and back alleys of ’80s Los Angeles, we watch as his crimes escalate and the city slowly becomes aware that a monster is moving among them. It’s particularly fitting for a Monster Fest going to Hell, because Ramirez didn’t just accept his eventual reputation as a Satanist — he enthusiastically encouraged it. Pentagrams, declarations of allegiance to Satan and a now-infamous courtroom appearance with a pentagram drawn on his palm all became part of the media circus surrounding a man whose crimes were considerably more horrifying than the theatrical mythology he constructed around himself.
